O.K. here goes my first official ‘teacher’ post.

So... what could be better than a smiley sticker on your paper?
I say, NOTHING could be better if you are a kindergartner!

While blog stalking today I came upon Ms. Schatz's blog, How About Them Apples http://schatzskindergarten.blogspot.com/, which by the way, your title is so clever. This then lead me to Mrs. Shelton's blog, Kindergarten Korner  http://kentuckykindergartenkorner.blogspot.com/.
There I found this awesome idea she calls, Did It Dots. Mrs. Shelton uses smiley stickers to reinforce following 5 writing rules. Check it out you will be glad you did.

  1. I love Did It Dots! I discovered them last year at a Writer's Workshop training and quickly added them to first grade! I explained if I found whatever skill they were working on during our conference I would give them a did it dot. This worked well and was a great way to differentiate the student's needs, yet motivate all at the same time!
